This Fall inspired Calamigos Ranch wedding boasts all kinds of pretty and was definitely one for the books. From the blush colored couture gown to the glazed donut cake, Rebecca + Dave’s wedding details were truly inspiring and an absolute blast to photograph.
You might remember seeing Rebecca + Dave in my blog previously when we travelled to Big Bear for their snowy engagement session. The day had finally arrived and it was time for these two lovebirds to tie the knot. They held their wedding deep in wine country of the Malibu hills at the iconic Calamigos Ranch. With classic old world ranch style, beautiful wood detail, and even a Ferris wheel, I knew that we would be capturing some stunning images.
Rebecca stunned in her blush colored Alvina Valenta dress accompanied by her bridesmaids in deep burgundy gowns while David and his groomsmen kept it classy and fun with navy blue suits and happy socks. David’s nerves were instantly calmed during the “first look” when his best man pulled a switcheroo and surprised him instead of his bride.
The ceremony was held at the Pavilion at Northpoint. Friends and family sat around a historic oak tree while Rebecca + Dave exchanged hand written vows to one another atop a cascading ivy wall.
Proceeding the ceremony we headed out to the Ferris wheel where the bridal party was to be photographed. Afterwards, I roamed the grounds with Rebecca + David taking portraits, chasing the last few minutes of beautiful golden light and sharing laughs.
The newly wed bride + groom were welcomed into the reception during their grand entrance with a huge round of applause from their guests. The maid of honor and best man both gave heartfelt speeches during dinner and afterwards everyone gathered to watch Rebecca and Dave cut their wedding cake. Dave even surprised everyone of a special performance of his rapping skills. Guests ended the night on a sweet note while enjoying the donut cake and dancing away.
