One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is getting to shoot at all the cool venues around me. Earlier this month I had the pleasure of photographing Michelle + Cameron’s wedding at the Millwick in downtown LA. Located in the heart of the Arts District this industrial inspired super-loft has everything a trendy bride and groom could ask for. Its vaulted ceilings and skylights provide gorgeous natural light and the roll up garage doors lead out to the courtyard that perfectly hosts an outdoor ceremony or cocktails hour.

I first worked with Michelle + Cameron last year when I captured their engagement photos in Joshua Tree National Park. When they told me that they wanted to head out to the desert for their photos I knew I was going to have a blast working with these two. As expected, their wedding was absolutely stunning and I had such a great time with them both. Not only was the venue and styling of the day a perfect representation of themselves but they too looked like they just stepped foot off a movie set. Michelle rocked her wedding day in a gorgeous BHLDN dress and Cameron donned an epic royal blue suit.

You know you’re working with a great couple when they are open to all of your ideas and suggestions. Michelle + Cameron were nothing short of that. They had their first look on the rooftop of their hotel and afterwards we walked around the Arts District taking photos. The ceremony was held outdoors in the venue’s courtyard. Surrounded by friends and family, Michelle + Cameron solidified their love for one another but not before cheersing one another and enjoying a tasty beer. The rest of the night went off without a hitch thanks to exceptional planning by Eco Caters.
