This Portofino Hotel wedding has everything you could want from a couple’s big day- effortless style, gorgeous light, and a bridal party that looks like they just stepped out of a magazine. You might recognize Michelle and Will from an engagement session that I blogged about earlier this year. Well their big day had finally arrived and I was there to capture every beautiful moment.
Thanks to a team of incredibly talented vendors the day went off without a hitch and guests danced away into the night. I met Michelle in her suite at the Portofino Hotel where she and all the bridesmaids were getting ready. While hair and makeup was in full swing I took her dress and accessories downstairs to take advantage of the stunning lobby that the hotel had to offer. Once all the ladies were ready to go they met me downstairs where we took some portraits and then headed off to meet Will and his groomsmen at The Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes.
Upon arriving at the church I immediately began scouting for locations to shoot the “first look”. Luckily for me it was nice and cloudy that day and every direction I turned revealed the most flattering and beautiful light. We found a spot overlooking the water that I knew would be the perfect location for Michelle and Will to see one another. Once they saw each other there was no shortage of hugs, kisses, and “wows”.
Once the ceremony was done the wedding party joined me outside for some portraits and I took Michelle and Will around the immaculate grounds for some more couples photos. We headed back to the hotel for the reception afterwards. FlorUnique provided stunning arrangements for the tables and Lana from The Charming Event created a fun and beautiful evening for the guests. Michelle + Will ended the night on a high note and exited the party via sparkler tunnel in front of all their friends and family.
