Valley Rock Inn Wedding

Prepare yourselves for some serious inspiration from this Valley Rock Inn wedding in the Hudson Valley. This stylish New York couple enjoyed a weekend of festivities at a new venue located just outside of Manhattan. The Valley Rock Inn is a true oasis that boasts the feel of an English garden with five-star service.

Lauren and Matt got ready on-site in beautifully appointed cottages. Matt and his groomsmen donned classic black tuxedos paired with white rose boutonnieres. Lauren stunned in an open-back Lee Petra Grebenau gown, accompanied by her bridesmaids in dusty blue satin dresses.

Lauren’s maid-of-honor helped her with the finishing touches of getting into her gown.

Matt’s Dad made sure that his son was looked his best on his big day.

First Look

Lauren and Matt’s first look took place in the property’s rose garden. The roses only bloom 3 weeks out of the year and they were on full display for us that day. We walked the property together capturing portraits after an emotional embrace during the first look. The bridal party soon joined us and brought their A-game to the portraits. It felt like we were on the set of a Vanity Fair photoshoot!

Ceremony

The ceremony was held on the main lawn of the property. Beautifully delicate white floral bouquets lined the aisle leading up to the floral arch. Ivie Joy Florals adorned the arch with pink and white roses, local greenery, and the most beautiful fried egg poppies. It was truly a sight to behold and looked like it was right out of Bridgerton.

Lauren and her Dad shared an emotional walk down the aisle to Matt who was eagerly awaiting her arrival. The couple exchanged handwritten vows to one another before sealing their commitment with a kiss. Guests showered the two with cheers and rose petals as they recessed down the aisle.

Cocktail Hour

After the ceremony concluded, guests headed to cocktail hour where they were greeted with signature cocktails and tasty hors d’oeuvres. Guests were greeted at the seating chart with their names hand-calligraphed to individual envelopes sealed with the couples’ initials.

Reception

Following cocktail hour, guests made their way inside the reception tent and anxiously awaited the newlywed couples’ grand entrance. The entrance to the Sperry tent was adorned with gorgeous florals and illuminated with warm candlelight. Long communal tables and cross-back wooden chairs welcomed the guests. The tables boasted colorful floral runners, suspended tea candles, and custom menus with each guest’s calligraphed name.

With Lauren and Matt’s entrance into the tent came a roar of applause and cheers from everyone. Guests stood to their feet and warmly welcomed the newly married couple to the dance floor for their first dance. Everyone enjoyed gourmet meals, heartfelt speeches, and a wild night of dancing. It was a truly memorable weekend that I will never forget and am so humbled to have documented it.
