Destination Wedding at the Four Seasons Ocean Club in the Bahamas | Jordyn & Steven

Luxury Four Seasons Ocean Club Wedding Photography in the Bahamas

When Jordan and Steven envisioned their wedding weekend, they didn’t just plan a ceremony — they curated an experience. Instead of hosting a single evening celebration, they invited their guests to the Bahamas for three unforgettable days at the Four Seasons Ocean Club.

EKS Events led the planning and design with precision, while Wildflower Bahamas created lush floral installations that elevated every space. As a result, the entire property felt transformed into a private world designed exclusively for their closest family and friends.

Night One: An Oceanfront Welcome Celebration

To begin the festivities, guests gathered for an elegant welcome party overlooking the ocean. As the sun set over the water, candlelight flickered against the breeze and cocktails flowed freely.

Not only did the evening set the tone for the weekend, but it also allowed everyone to settle into the rhythm of island life. Laughter carried across the terrace, and anticipation built for what was to come.

Day Two: A Chic Poolside Affair at SLS

The following afternoon, the celebration shifted to a private pool party at the SLS Hotel. Under bright Bahamian sunshine, guests enjoyed curated cocktails, music, and a lively atmosphere.

While the tone felt playful, the execution remained refined. Every detail reflected intentional design. Consequently, the weekend never lost its sense of luxury — even during its most relaxed moments.

Wedding Morning: First Looks & Sacred Traditions

On the wedding day, we arrived early for getting-ready moments filled with excitement and emotion. Meanwhile, final touches unfolded quietly in each suite.

First, Jordan met her father in the garden for a deeply heartfelt first look. Shortly after, Steven joined us beneath the palms. As soon as he turned to see her, emotion overtook them both.

Afterward, we explored the garden grounds for portraits in the soft morning light. Then, we transitioned indoors for an intimate ketubah ceremony, where close family gathered in a moment of meaningful tradition before the larger celebration began.

A Historic Cloisters Ceremony Overlooking the Sea

Later in the afternoon, guests assembled at the historic Cloisters overlooking the ocean. Pastel blooms lined the aisle and framed an elegant chuppah at the altar.

For the wedding day, the men embraced classic black tie attire. However, each one paired his tuxedo with Jordans — a playful nod to the bride’s name. Meanwhile, the bridesmaids wore individually selected black dresses, creating a fashion-forward yet cohesive look.

Beneath the chuppah, Jordan and Steven honored Jewish tradition in a ceremony filled with sincerity and joy. Once they sealed their vows, guests showered them with petals as they recessed down the aisle.

Following the ceremony, we captured sunset portraits before gathering family beneath the chuppah for formal photographs.

A Sunflower-Draped Tent & Bahamian After Party

As dusk settled over the property, guests moved into a custom-built reception tent designed entirely by EKS Events. Because sunflowers are Jordan’s favorite bloom, the team draped the ceiling with cascading installations in dramatic abundance.

Inside, candlelight glowed warmly against layered florals and elegant table settings. After heartfelt speeches and live performances, the multi-piece band energized the dance floor.

Later in the evening, Jordan changed into a feathered and embellished mini dress that perfectly suited the Bahamas setting. Finally, once dinner and dancing concluded, guests were ushered poolside to the vibrant sound of Junkanoo musicians. There, beneath the stars, the celebration continued into the night.

For couples seeking an immersive destination experience, Four Seasons Ocean Club wedding photography offers a rare combination of historic architecture, oceanfront grandeur, and impeccable service. Above all, Jordan and Steven’s three-day celebration demonstrates how elevated design and thoughtful hospitality can transform a wedding into a truly unforgettable escape.

Boston Engagement | Lily + Steven

Boston Engagement

Over Halloween weekend, we took a day trip to capture Lily and Steven’s Fall Boston engagement session. We would only be in town for 8 hours, so we had to move quickly upon our arrival. Our first stop (non-photo related) was to James Hook and Co for some tasty lobster rolls. A proper introduction to this famous East Coast city.

After stuffing our faces, we were off to the Boston Public Library. This building was on the top of my list after researching to find classic architecture around downtown. After arriving, it simply was not feasible with the sheer amount of visitors that were constantly meandering around. We quickly hopped in our car and headed to location number two- the Gas Lamp District. This place checked all the boxes. From the classic cobblestone streets to the historic, ivy-covered homes I was in photographer’s heaven.

When we finished scouting there it was time to meet up with Lily, Steven, and their pup Sydney. Lily is a student at Harvard so we started their session in Cambridge. As we made our way across the grounds we admired all of the classic East Coast architecture. It was made even more beautiful by all of the surrounding fall foliage. We met out front of Widener Library, one of the most iconic buildings on Harvard’s campus. Sydney donned a blue bandana with the couple’s wedding date. It was perfectly color-coordinated with Lily and Steven’s outfits. After grabbing some shots on campus we headed over to our next location- the Charles River.

Downtown Boston

We left Cambridge after snapping photos at the river and made our way back into downtown Boston. Our first stop was Acorn Street- the epitome of old-school Boston. Being one of the last few remaining cobblestone streets of Boston I knew this would be a beautifully unique location. We walked a bit, finding beautiful little nooks and captured lots of sweet moments along the way. Lily and Steven donned their alternate outfits and looked so dreamy together! Lily wore a white floor-length dress and Steven sported a midnight blue suit and brown leather dress shoes.

Our last location of the evening was Boston Harbor. As we arrived, the sun just began to dip behind the clouds and blessed us with gorgeous light. We could see sailboats taking evening tours around the harbor which made for the best background. It was so fun to see them go by and cheer on this awesome couple. I’m beyond thrilled that we were able to meet up with Lily and Steven. I can’t wait to see them again this Summer for their wedding in Tuscany!

Topanga Canyon Engagement | Brittany & Ryan

Topanga Canyon Engagement Session in the Malibu Hills

There’s a different pace to a Topanga Canyon engagement session in the Malibu hills.

Unlike the coastline, where everything feels open and expansive, Topanga creates something quieter. The roads wind. The light filters through uneven terrain. And because of that, the entire experience feels more private and intentional.

For couples looking for something less expected, this part of Los Angeles offers a completely different perspective.

Topanga Canyon engagement session

A More Intimate Side of a Malibu Engagement Session

This session unfolded slowly.

To begin with, we moved through the hills without rushing, letting each location reveal itself naturally. Instead of jumping from spot to spot, we stayed present within each environment.

As a result, the images feel grounded rather than staged.

That’s often what defines a Malibu engagement session in Topanga Canyon—it’s not about the quantity of locations, but the depth of each one.

Light, Texture, and Movement in Topanga Canyon

Topanga doesn’t rely on dramatic backdrops.

Instead, it offers subtle shifts—soft hills, dry textures, and light that changes quickly as the sun moves. Because of this, the focus naturally shifts to movement, posture, and connection.

At the same time, the muted tones allow wardrobe and styling to stand out without competing with the landscape.

This balance is what makes the location feel editorial without trying too hard.

Why Couples Choose Topanga Canyon for Engagement Photos

For couples considering a Topanga Canyon engagement session, the appeal is different from more traditional Malibu locations.

First, it offers privacy away from crowded beaches.
Additionally, the terrain creates more variety within a smaller area.
Finally, the setting feels distinctly Southern California without feeling overused.

Because of this, it has become a strong choice for couples who want something understated but elevated.

An Editorial Approach to a Los Angeles Engagement Session

Approaching this as a Los Angeles engagement photographer, the goal is never to over-direct.

Instead, the focus stays on creating space for natural interaction while guiding composition subtly.

For example, small adjustments in positioning or movement can completely change how light interacts with the frame. As a result, the final images feel intentional without feeling forced.

This is where an engagement session moves beyond documentation and becomes something more refined.

Planning a Topanga Canyon Engagement Session

Timing plays a significant role here.

Because the hills drop light quickly, sessions are best scheduled around golden hour to take full advantage of the shifting tones. In addition, choosing wardrobe that complements the environment—rather than contrasts too sharply—helps maintain a cohesive look.

Whether you’re planning a Malibu engagement session or exploring other areas of Los Angeles, the goal remains the same:

To create something that feels natural, elevated, and reflective of you.

Rosewood Miramar Beach Wedding | Katarina + Dominic

Rosewood Miramar Beach Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing an elegant Rosewood Miramar Beach wedding earlier this year in Montecito. The Rosewood opened just over a year ago and now serves as one of Santa Barbara’s premier luxury hotels and wedding destinations. The property boasts private villas, five-star dining, its own beach, and unparalleled five-star service. This beautiful venue served as the backdrop for the day’s festivities.

Getting Ready For the Big Day

Katarina and her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite of the hotel, overlooking the mail pool and ocean. Everyone was in great spirits while the ladies of TEAM Hair and Makeup worked their magic. A Chinese tea ceremony was held in the morning before Katarina slipped into her wedding dress. Both families attended and gave gifts to the couple, along with words of wisdom and well-wishes.

Following the tea ceremony was the first look for the bride and groom. Katarina slipped into her dress with the help of her bridesmaids and Mom. She paired her outfit with a pair of sparkly Louboutin heels and a bouquet from Toast Santa Barbara. The bridesmaids all wore stunning dusty rose velvet dresses from Jenny Yoo’s newest line. The couple’s dog, Teddy, was included in the big day and even donned a tux of his very own.

Ceremony

Nina Moore and her team designed the most beautiful ceremony space. The aisle was lined with cherry blossom trees, and loose petals were given to guests to toss. Katarina was walked down the aisle by her mother and father, while a four-piece string band’s music filled the air. Roses, orchids, and hydrangeas adorned the floral arch at the head of the aisle. A live artist was present on the day to paint the couple as they recessed back down the aisle and enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife.

Reception

The reception space was decorated with stunning monochromatic white and gold tones. The sweetheart table was adorned with candles and surrounded by cherry tree blossoms.

Katarina and Dominic enjoyed a sparkly cake-cutting while surrounded by all of their loved ones.

Black Tie Avalon Palm Springs Wedding | Hilary + Adam

Avalon Hotel Palm Springs Wedding | A Luxury Desert Celebration

Set in the heart of the desert, an Avalon Hotel Palm Springs wedding offers a refined balance of mid-century charm and modern luxury.

At the same time, the property blends clean architecture, lush gardens, and mountain views into a setting that feels both elevated and relaxed. Because of this, it has become a standout choice for a Palm Springs wedding.

For couples drawn to design-forward spaces and intentional experiences, the Avalon creates a wedding environment that feels curated from start to finish.

A Luxury Palm Springs Wedding Experience

This celebration unfolded with a sense of ease that defines the most thoughtful weddings.

To begin with, the story started long before the wedding day. During their engagement session, we focused on creating something natural, editorial, and reflective of their dynamic together.
👉 You can view their engagement session here: Joshua Tree Engagement Session

From there, the wedding day felt like a seamless continuation of that experience.

Instead of rushing between moments, the timeline allowed space for everything to unfold naturally. As a result, each interaction felt genuine and unforced.

This is what defines a luxury Avalon Hotel Palm Springs wedding.

A Garden Ceremony at Avalon Hotel Palm Springs

As the ceremony began, guests gathered within the hotel’s lush courtyard spaces.

Surrounded by layered greenery and soft desert light, the setting created a refined and intimate atmosphere. In addition, the contrast between structured design and organic elements gave the space a distinctly editorial quality.

Because of this balance, every frame felt composed without feeling staged.

For couples considering a Palm Springs garden wedding, the Avalon offers a setting that feels both polished and relaxed.

An Editorial Approach to a Desert Wedding

The design of the day reflected a cohesive and elevated vision.

Rather than relying on excess, every element served a purpose. For example, the color palette remained soft and neutral, while textures added depth and dimension.

Similarly, wardrobe choices complemented the environment, reinforcing a clean and modern aesthetic throughout the day.

This is where a luxury Palm Springs wedding becomes distinct.

Not only in what is included, but also in how everything is intentionally refined.

Switzer Farm Wedding in Westport | Jennifer + Andrew

Switzer Farm Wedding

You need to drop what you’re doing and come take a peek at this gorgeous Switzer Farm wedding. This newly opened venue is located in Westport, CA, and made for the perfect backdrop for Jen and Andrew’s wedding day. The house was originally built in 1884 by the Switzer brothers and was restored in 2015. Before the renovation, world-renowned photographer Ansel Adams actually photographed the property in 1964! The property overlooks the Mendocino Coast and would be a dream for any couple looking for a unique venue.

We flew up for the weekend to document the festivities. After seeing their wedding photos below, we have no doubt you’ll want a coastal wedding as well!

Getting Ready

Jen and Andrew rented out the entire property for the weekend. Their bridal party stayed on-site and enjoyed the in-house chef and got ready alongside them on the wedding day. While Andrew and his groomsmen prepared downstairs, Jen and her bridesmaids were getting pampered in the upstairs suite. All of the ladies toasted Jen on marrying Andrew and Even their three dogs were included on the wedding day. After Jen finished with hair and makeup she slipped into her dress for portraits. Her mom was by her side to assist and capture some sweet moments in the process.

Ceremony

The ceremony was held on the property’s lawn overlooking the cliffs and the Pacific Ocean. Floral arrangements composed of pampas grass, spray roses, and fountain grass lined the aisle way. There was a flower-adorned wooden arbor at the altar for Jen and Andrew to stand under that framed the coastal rocks perfectly. Soon after the guests arrived, they were ushered down the hillside to their seats. Jen was walked down by her mom and Andrew was accompanied by his pup. After a heartfelt exchange of vows, the couple sealed their marriage with a kiss. Soon after, they made their way down the aisle with their dog in tow as their guests cheered them on.

Cocktail Hour

Guests made their way back up to the house for cocktail hour and to enjoy the sunset. Fresh oysters and handmade signature cocktails were served for everyone to enjoy. The most inviting lounge area was designed in the lower courtyard located beneath the main deck. While heading over to the lounge area with drinks and appetizers in hand, everyone stopped off at the welcome table to write in Jen + Andrew’s guest book.

Reception

Following cocktail hour, the reception space on the main lawn was opened to all the guests. Dinner was set to be served at an alfresco dining space beneath the stars. The tables were decorated with soft blue hues and gilded silverware. Loose blooms and floral centerpieces could be found throughout. Alongside the floral arrangements were the guests’ place settings written on agate. The sweetheart table sat at the head of the lawn surrounded by pampas grasses, overlooking the guests.

Guests soon made their way to their seats and the bridal party was about to make their grand entrance. Everyone stood, cheering on Jen and Andrew as they made their way to the dance floor. The two shared their first dance as husband and wife with views of the sunset over the Pacific. Meanwhile, their closest friends and family watched with adoration as the couple swayed, spun, and dipped one another.

Sunset Romantics

We absconded for a few minutes to capture a few more portraits before the sunset. We visited the home’s garden and captured the pair as they walked the property. After visiting the lounge area down in the courtyard, we headed back to the reception for dinner and a night full of dancing.

Guests raised their glasses and toasted one another during the speeches for the couple.
Jen and Andrew served one another bites of wedding cake while laughing and dancing into the night.

Sagamore Resort Wedding in Bolton Landing, New York

Sagamore Resort Wedding in Bolton Landing | A Luxury Lake George Celebration

Set along the shores of Lake George, a Sagamore Resort wedding in Bolton Landing offers a rare balance of East Coast tradition and refined destination appeal.

At the same time, the property provides expansive waterfront views, historic architecture, and a sense of quiet exclusivity. Because of this, it has become one of the most sought-after venues for a Lake George wedding.

For couples drawn to timeless settings with a polished, elevated atmosphere, The Sagamore delivers an experience that feels both classic and intentional.

A Destination Wedding Experience at The Sagamore Resort

Joyce and Adam’s celebration reflected a sense of ease that defines the most thoughtful weddings.

To begin with, their story began well before the wedding day. During their engagement session, we focused on creating something that felt natural, relaxed, and reflective of who they are together. If you’d like to see more from that session, you can view their engagement photos here:
Joyce & Adam Engagement

From there, the wedding day felt like a seamless continuation of that experience.

In contrast to more traditional timelines, the day unfolded without pressure. As a result, each moment felt genuine rather than directed.

This is what sets a Sagamore Resort wedding in Bolton Landing apart.

Getting Ready

Adam and Joyce wed on a beautiful summer day in June in front of all of their closest friends and family. Joyce got ready in a cabin on the historic property surrounded by her bridesmaids and with her mom by her side. With mimosas in hand and hip-hop playing on the stereo, everyone was in great spirits. Adam prepared with his groomsmen in the main building of the Sagamore before heading off to see his bride-to-be.

After everyone was dressed and ready for the day, we headed out to begin taking photos. Joyce and Adam met on the rooftop balcony of the hotel. It offered 180-degree views of Lake George and was the perfect setting for their first look. Looking out from the balcony, one could see multiple islands on the lake and the entire hotel property laid out before them. The wedding party and family gathered by the windows to watch the couple embrace one another with hugs and kisses of excitement. Afterward, everyone gathered to capture the wedding party and family photos.

Waterfront Ceremony on Lake George

As the ceremony began, guests gathered with the lake stretching out just beyond them.

Surrounded by natural blues and soft greens, the setting created a clean, editorial backdrop that required very little enhancement. In addition, the open air and unobstructed views allowed each moment to feel expansive and unforced.

Because of these elements, the ceremony felt both elevated and effortless.

For couples considering a Lake George waterfront wedding, this is where The Sagamore truly stands out.

An Editorial Approach to a Luxury Lake George Wedding

The overall design of the day reflected a refined and cohesive vision.

Rather than relying on excess, every detail was curated with intention. For example, the color palette remained soft and classic, while textures added depth without overwhelming the setting.

Similarly, the styling throughout the day maintained a consistent tone, allowing the environment to remain a central focus.

This is where a luxury Sagamore Resort wedding becomes distinct.

Not only in what is included, but also in what is intentionally restrained.

Reception

After cocktail hour, everyone was ushered inside a tent overlooking the lake for the reception. Family and friends welcomed the newly married couple with cheers. Family and friends made heartfelt speeches, and everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner while sound of rain danced on the roof of the tent. Afterward, guests danced the night away to a live band in celebration of Joyce and Adam. Everyone in attendance enjoyed dessert, cocktails, and a photo booth to remember the evening.

Why Couples Choose The Sagamore Resort for Their Wedding

For couples planning a Sagamore Resort wedding or a Lake George destination wedding, the appeal is clear.

First, the location offers direct access to one of the most iconic lakes in the Northeast.
Additionally, the property combines historic charm with modern refinement.
Finally, the setting allows for a full wedding weekend experience in one place.

Because of this combination, The Sagamore continues to attract couples who value both experience and atmosphere.

It’s not just about the setting.

Instead, it’s about how the setting allows the day to unfold.

Santa Ynez Hills Engagement | Jennifer + Andrew

Santa Ynez Hills Engagement

Jen and Andrew braved the rain and wind with me last week to capture their beautiful Santa Ynez Hills engagement. It’s quite a rarity, but we’ve been experiencing consistent rainstorms throughout Southern California for the past few weeks. Fortunately, the skies cleared and the rain ceased just long enough for us to head up to the mountains.

I especially love this engagement session because Jen and Andrew wanted to include their three dogs in the photos. Couples are always encouraged to bring something special with them to our portrait session because it makes the photos that much more meaningful. I was overjoyed when they told me their pups would be tagging along!

We met in downtown Los Olivos and caravaned up to the mountains to visit one of my favorite lookout points. The last time I visited for a Santa Ynez Hills engagement, the area was enduring a heatwave and the landscape was golden. Thanks to all of the recent rain, we got to enjoy lush, green hills. As we photographed, we chatted about their wedding later this year at Switzer Farm with the talented team at Two Roads Event Co.

Andrew brought along a bottle of champagne so we could celebrate the end of a successful evening. The two toasted one another and ended the evening sipping on bubbly while watching the sunset.
